World War II Historical Site

On the way to the Lata Sungai Bil, visitors will pass a site which has special significance in the earlier history of the country.

Here, it is reported that British were forced to surrender to advancing Japanese forces as the prelude to the Japanese Occupation of Malaya in 1942.

It was also reported that the British had to surrender much of their arms to the Japanese, thereby weakening the colonial position in Malaya very considerably.
