The Batang Padang district
encompasses several areas inhabited by the 'Orang Asli' community.
Literally translated as 'original people' but the term means the
aborigines.
Visitors will find some of these villages around the
vicinity of Lata Iskandar and Kuala Woh.
Watch and mingle with the Orang Asli as they go about their daily lives.
The main source of income for the Orang Asli is derived from the sale of
traditional handicrafts, as well as fruits such as durian and other forest
produce including petai. |
